I sat down with Stéphane Lambiel and Christopher Trevisan during 2024 Skate America, where they were accompanying their students Deniss Vasiljevs, Koshiro Shimada, and Sofja Stepcenko. Stéphane Lambiel is a two-time World Champion and the 2006 Olympic silver medalist. He continues to perform in shows around the world, as well as working as a choreographer and the head coach of the Skating School of Switzerland. Chris Trevisan is the director of the Skating School and was previously a guest on the Future of Figure Skating (episode 14). Last summer, the school celebrated its 10th anniversary with a unique show, L’Apprenti Sorcier. In this conversation, Stéphane and Chris discuss the values that underpin their work and their hopes for innovation in the sport.
